You will head out to Aurora Village for you snowshoe experience along with a number of other winter activities. You will be joined by other guests who are also booked for outdoor winter activities. In addition to your snowshoeing experience, other winter activities such as tubing on the giant slide, marshmallow roasting, visiting our dog kennel, etc are included. You will have about three hours to take in the winter afternoon in a safe, comfortable, and beautiful environment. We have heated washrooms available and places to keep warm.
During the snowshoe experience, you’ll learn about the local traditions of the land, the wildlife and plant life in the area. Keep your eyes open, and you’ll likely see paws or hoof prints of local wildlife! You’ll also be shown important survival skills, such as how to make a fire quickly. The guided walk itself is approximately 75 minutes.
OPTION: For additional $50 per person, you can also add DOG TEAM RIDE EXPERIENCE on the same day (Please see the “Dog Team Ride Experience” for details). Call or email the office in advance.
Our dining hall at the village is open for lunch with deli sandwiches, soup and bannock for purchase. Don’t worry about rushing with a late breakfast or early lunch in town.
