Yellowknife Boat tour
Enjoy a boat tour on Great Slave Lake, the world’s 10th largest freshwater lake. You will cruise through the local houseboats, and past Latham and Jolliffe Islands, and around Yellowknife Bay. Take in a view of the city from the water, and see the vast ocean-like lake stretch off into the distance…
Experience this unique outing on the lake on a Big Canoe! The whole lake will freeze during winter, therefore now is the time we enjoy boating and the traditional canoe. Come aboard on of our 26-foot traditional freighter canoes – It is a big canoe fitted with a motor. This 70-minute boat tour will cruise Yellowknife Bay, and if conditions allow you will also experience some high speed runs on the clear water. You may see wild birds fly by, or bush planes taking-off and landing. Also, before or after your cruise, you can also explore the Old Town’s shops and restaurants.
Passenger safety is of our utmost importance. You will be provided with the proper safety gear. The capacity of each cruiser is 12 guests.
Note: Transportation to the dock is NOT included. You must come to the dock on your own, by walking or taxi. Please be at the dock at least 10 minutes before departure time.
