Yellowknife City tour

Tour the city and learn about the history of Yellowknife from humble beginnings, to “streets paved with gold” and the deeply rooted Aboriginal culture.

Product Description

This two-hour tour starting at 2:00 pm each afternoon serves as an introduction to Yellowknife for first-time visitors. It features stops at the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories, the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre, and a drive through downtown and Old Town Yellowknife. History of Yellowknife and northern culture are showcased in this tour.

In winter, we will drive onto the Great Slave Lake on the famous Ice Road, and get off the bus to see the ‘ice’ when it is safe to do so. (It is normally safe to drive on the ice by early December.) In summer, we climb the Pilot’s Monument in old own. You will enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of Great Slave Lake, the city, and far beyond.
